The idea of this printer is fantastic. Images print out in less than a minute (using USB) from every source that I tried. The 2"x3" format is fun to use as giveaways at events, and the picture quality is reasonable, given the amazing price for the printer and refill papers.

However, the printer's major flaw is the streaking. Within 3 printouts, large streaks appear along the length of the printouts, in random locations. At first, I thought that this was a problem with changing from mostly dark images to light images; in fact, it occurs with both. Printing multiple light images seems to leave light streaks on later pages, while printing several dark images seems to leave dark streaks. This flaw is well-documented on other websites (which I only saw after buying), and Polaroid even notes it in the printer's troubleshooting section. They recommend running a piece of film, upside-down, through the printer to clean it, and this is often effective. (Other websites unofficially recommend running the blue calibration page that comes with each film pack to clean the printer.)

Even with this solution, though, I think it's unacceptable to have to clean your printer every 3 images. If you don't, you'll waste 2-3 pieces of film from each pack in streaked images. Please understand that I don't expect extraordinary quality printouts from a tiny, portable printer -- but large streaks along each image are a different story.

I've returned the original printer through Amazon, and have tested its replacement, with identical results. It's a problem.

So, overall, the printer could be a lot of fun! It has a perfect size, acceptable battery life, an excellent price, and reasonable quality images -- until the streaking starts. But with multiple streaks across the printed image, the entire point of the printer is ruined. I'm hoping to eventually get one that works, either through Amazon or Polaroid. If you buy one, just be aware of this issue, or be prepared to send it back.

Having been a professional photographer, I'm always intruigued by innovative technologies. The PoGo from Polaroid certainly qualifies. Its small size easily fits in my shirt pocket and after taking a pic of a friend with either my digital camera (via USB) or cell phone (via Bluetooth), out comes a 2x3" color print in 60 seconds. The color is certainly acceptable, using Zink, a dry process. The small size of the print is not meant to be studio quality but certainly a talking point with associates. A peel off self stick backing. Nice touch.
