We have had this plotter nearly a year. We are a small engineering firm and have put about 5,000 sq-ft through it. In general it is a solid plotter. It is quick, quiet, and makes excellent plots. It is relatively simple to maintain and we are well pleased with it. HOWEVER... We recently had an issue with the star wheel motor which is a known issue. It happened within the 1 year warranty but we quickly found out that we had no warranty. Apparently the reseller/distributor obtains rebates prior to selling to the final consumer and at that time activates the warranty. We had to work through HP to get the problem covered. In the end the warranty was honored but it was at HP's discretion. I will note that HP was great to deal with.

I would recommend this plotter but with the warning that the warranty may not be what you anticipate.
